Privacy Policy
GatedCommunityFlat (gatedcommunityflat.com) keeps as little about you as it can, never sells it, and shows no ads. This page says exactly what we keep, why, and how to have it deleted.
1. What we keep, and why
- When you tap Interested, ask for access or list a flat: your name, email, mobile number, city, the role you pick (buyer, tenant, owner or RWA) and any note you write. We use them to review your request and to match you with flats or with people looking for one.
- Owner accounts: your email, name and mobile number, and your password stored only as a one-way scrambled code (we cannot read it).
- Flats you list: the community, tower, flat number, floor, size, price and the other details and photos you add.
- Watch: your email, the community or area you want to hear about and any filters you chose (bedrooms, budget), so we can email you when a matching flat opens. Every email has a one-tap stop link.
- Contact us: your name, email, phone (if you give it) and your message.
- Questions to the "Ask us" assistant: the question, the page you asked from and our answer, to make the answers better. We do not store your network address with them, only a scrambled code used to apply the daily question limit.
- Visit counts: which pages are opened and which site a visit came from (for example Google). To count unique visitors, your browser keeps a random code that changes every day. It does not identify you.
- Network (IP) address: kept with access requests, contact messages and failed logins, only to stop spam and break-in attempts.
2. What other people can see
- A listed flat shows the owner's first name, the community, tower and floor, and the flat details. It never shows the flat number, phone number or email.
- When a buyer or tenant taps Interested, the owner is told without the buyer's details. Only if the owner taps "Yes, connect me" do we email both of them each other's name, email and number. If the flat is no longer listed, nothing is shared.
3. Who else handles your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your details, and we use no advertising or tracking services. These services run parts of the site for us:
- Cloudflare: hosts the site and the database, and runs the "Ask us" assistant.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- OpenStreetMap (map tiles) and Google Fonts (a font): your browser loads these directly, so they see your network address, as any website you visit does.
We may share details if the law requires it, for example a valid order from a court or the police.
4. Cookies and browser storage
- We set a cookie only when you log in, to keep you logged in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
- Your browser also remembers your chosen city, the communities you add to Compare and the daily random visit code. You can clear these in your browser at any time.
5. How long we keep it
- Account, request and flat details: while your account or request is open, and until you ask us to delete them.
- Visit counts are kept only as daily totals.
- Network addresses of failed logins are used only to slow down break-in attempts.
6. Your choices
- Email support@gatedcommunityflat.com to see, correct or delete your details.
- Owners can close their flat at any time from their account.
- Stop Watch emails with the link at the bottom of any email.
7. Children
The site is meant for adults looking to buy, rent or list a home. Please do not use it if you are under 18.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. Our Terms of Service also apply.
